Red wines

The colour of our red wines
and their characteristics are the result of the traditional fermentation
on the mash in Stengel's cellar.
Grape varieties
of red wines
Trollinger: The grape of Trollinger, which is only cultivated
in Wurttemberg, delivers meaty, fresh and lusty wines of a brick-red
colour. Its light and fruity nature (also available as rosé wine)
inspires with vitality. Our recommendation: have it accompany your
daily dinner snack.
Lemberger: Deep red, strong wines of best quality with a flavour
of berries. The grape of Lemberger is only grown on the best sites.
Lemberger wines range among the peaks of Wurttemberg's wine culture
and beyond! Our recommendation: combine it with game dishes, e. g.
deer ragout with porcini.
Trollinger mit Lemberger: This melting of two grape varieties
- also called the house wine of the Swabians - possibly ends up in
being one of the most felicitous cuvees. They distinguish themselves
as aromatic fruity wines with a convenient mildness. Our recommendation:
they go perfectly with original Swabian marinated beef (Sauerbraten).
Schwarzriesling: A member of the Burgundy species. A glowing
red colour, harmony and mildness are reflected in these wines. From
this variety, fine mild rosé wines are extracted by way of early pressing.
Our recommendation: drink with roast hare dishes. |
